NOTES: BLACKBERRY, ORANGE WINE, HIBISCUS, BROWN SUGAR
Innovation, especially when it improves cup quality and economic stability of aging farmers, is amazing. We are excited to offer Neighbors & Crops Lot 370, La Palma as part of our coffee line up. This coffee is unique in its processing, undergoing 80hrs of whole cherry lactic acid/ anaerobic fermentation. It's then pulped, washed and dried on parabolic raised beds for 15 days. This unique processing produces notes of blackberry, hibiscus and orange wine acidity with a rich brown sugar sweetness throughout.
This coffee comes from the Granja Colegio Anatoli farm which belongs to the local Anatoli School where Rosalba Castro, Dean of the School and her fellow staff members manage and care for the farm. Local workers from the village are hired as farm laborers and sometimes even teachers and parents from the school will volunteer to work on the farm.
La Palma y El Tucan is part of a continuing effort to support farms like Colegio Anatolia by offering technical assistance that can help them grow better coffees year by year.
We are excited to have this natural process Java. This coffee has an incredible juicy acidity and body throughout with vibrant notes of raspberry, watermelon, orange marmalade and clover honey. This is a Java variety like no other.
