We took some of our favorite single origin coffees and made them into instant coffee! We put as much care into our instant coffee as we do our roasting and produce everything in house. 

Take our instant and add hot water for instant coffee or even milk for an instant latte.

Description of Coffee | 


Thanks to our longstanding partnership with Atlantic Specialty Coffee and its sister company, Kawacom, we have had the privilege of tasting and buying coffee from the Gamatui Community in Uganda for the past four years. Local farmers from throughout the Gamatui community bring their freshly harvested cherries to Sipi Falls, who manages the washing, drying, and milling processes all together. This cuts down on labor for the farmers and also increases the quality and value of each lot, ultimately resulting in better price outcomes for the farmers of Gamatui.

Processing: This lot was processed specifically for us, and in doing so we hoped to experience the base coffee - which is very clean and sweet - in more nuanced, dynamic, and intense flavors. To promote the creation of these such flavors, the coffee cherries were placed in GrainPro bags to ferment anaerobically for 48 hours. This may not seem like a very extended amount of time for an anaerobic natural, but due to the high temperature and specific yeasts in the air at Gamatui, fermentation happens pretty speedily! After this, the coffee is spread out on raised beds to dry in the sun.

In the cup: The Gamatui community is well known for rolling out coffees that are distinctly grape-y in flavor. This flavor call, which we've experienced as everything from Welch's grape juice to grape snow cones to (in today's case) concord grapes, is both rare and delicious - and it's a big part of why we come back to this coffee year after year. This particular lot is also boozy in character, reminding us of cognac. Additional fruit notes and sweetness combine their powers to give us something like red Fruit Roll-ups, making the whole tasting experience nostalgic - but all grown up.
