For our third Black Label release we turned to the most awarded coffee producer in the history of the World Barista Championship, Jamison Savage is the famed Finca Deborah. Jamison was an early adopter to the Carbonic Macerated style of coffee processing (brought over from wine making) and seems to have perfected it, even while pushing the boundaries of what is possible with coffee.
It always helps to start with amazing Panama Gesha coffee, but Jamison also puts incredible effort into controlling the processing and an immense amount of detail and care is put into each batch.
Jamison named this batch Iridescence, and I feel that name matches it well. This is a brilliant sparkling washed Gesha with amazing nuance, and vibrant tropical flavors. We cupped this coffee without knowing anything about it on a table with Multiple other amazing coffees and it stood out immediately. Clean, vibrant, floral, tropical, there just isn’t much more you could want from a Gesha Coffee.
