Luis Anibal - Pink Bourbon

Meet the Producer | Luis Anibal is a second generation coffee producer who has risen to a place of respect and renown, thanks to his achievements in innovative processing techniques as well as his investment in exotic coffee variety cultivation in Colombia. But, beofre all of that, Luis was just a 12-year-old boy working on his family's coffee farm. At age 15, his father allowed Luis to grow some of his own coffee on a small portion of that land. That small plot of land has grown to a now 40-hectare estate called Villa Betulia, and on it Luis grows dozens of coffee varieties, including one of our favorites and the one featured in this realease, Pink Bourbon.

Trust the Process | This coffee was hand-picked at peak ripeness before making its way to sealed plastic tanks, where it underwent 48 hours of anaerobic fermentation. Then, it was pulped and placed in GrainPro bags for an additional 18 hours to promote further lactic acid production. Finally, the cherries were washed and laid out to sun-dry on raised beds until 10.5% moisture content was achieved.

Take a Sip | Lovers of Pink Bourbon will delight in this cup - it's an easy drinker that showcases everything we know and love about the variety. Notes of soft florals, sweet lemons, and white peaches culminate with a lovely white wine characteristic, reminding us of a crisp glass of Argentine Torrontés on a warm Spring day.
